TALENTUM ORDERS ANOTHER TWS QUADRA PICK AND PLACE MACHINE

Friday, March 5th, 2010

Flame detection equipment manufacturer Talentum Developments has ordered a second TWS Quadra surface mount pick and place machine, this time the new DVC version with Linux Windows compatible software.

Talentum installed their first Quadra, a laser machine supplied by Blundell Production Equipment in 2004, and with an increase in demand for their specialist flame detectors, they are due to install the second machine later this month.

Some of their products for have to be certified and regular inspections carried out to ensure that they are intrinsically safe, so Talentum is committed to in-house manufacture. The original Quadra proved itself to be very reliable and efficient, so when a second machine was required Talentum had no hesitation in ordering another Quadra.

TWS QUADRA PICK & PLACE MACHINE HAS NEW SOFTWARE

Tuesday, February 16th, 2010

The TWS Quadra pick surface mount pick and place machine has been upgraded, now uses the Windows compatible ‘Linux’ operating system as well as having vision centering.

The cost-effective Quadra has been a best seller for several years due to its low capital cost and low cost of ownership, but the original DOS software, although reliable, had ceased to be compatible with other computer systems making it difficult to Network or back up programs.

The new Linux system has resolved these issues, and the Quadra now uses a vision camera rather than a laser which provides faster placement speed and more accuracy. Feeders from older machines can be used on the new version.

NEW SMALL PICK AND PLACE MACHINE FOR SMT

Tuesday, January 6th, 2009

There is a lot of interest in the new small surface mount pick and place machine that we are offering. It’s made by Fritsch, who have been a leading name in SMD placement equipment for over 20 years. The Fritsch PA510 has a small footprint yet it has big machine accuracy and, unusually for a small machine, has intelligent feeders.

It is very easy to use and to program, it has a built in component library, a CAD data converter, automatic fiducial recognition and automatic kitting control. It will assemble most components including BGA, CSP, and fine pitch QFP up to 70 x 70mm in size and will also assemble custom components such as LED’s, connectors etc.

It can use tape feeders, block feeders, stick feeders, tape strip feeders, custom LED feeders, tray feeders. Two machines can be linked together to form an in-line system for higher volume assembly work.

It comes with full installation, training and service support from Blundell, so you can be sure that technical assistance is only a phone call away at all times.
