PCB PARTNERS PLACE ORDER FOR CLEANING MACHINE

Friday, September 3rd, 2010

Hampshire based PCB Partners has placed an order for a Blundell System 2000 aqueous PCB cleaning machine.

After winning a new contract that requires daily use of a defluxing system and researching the market they decided that the Blundell System 2000 was the most economical choice.

Director Dave Maloney says: “The AEI/Esprit/Icon Group of which we are a part has worked closely with Blundell on other projects and we have always found their after care and maintanance to be first rate. This was a big factor in our decision.”

CLEANING OF PRINTED CIRCUIT ASSEMBLIES

Friday, April 23rd, 2010

Reasons to clean printed circuit boards are as follows: (1) Reliability - cleaning removes all contaminants and prevents corrosion (2) For conformal coating - if the PCB is to be coated, all residues of flux need to be removed to prevent unseen corrosion taking place under the coating (3) for in-circuit testing, some test jigs with pins that contact the leads are affected by flux residues and form a bad connection if the PCB is not cleaned (4) for military, aerospace and high reliability applications cleaning is compulsory and is demanded by the end user.

The Blundell System 1000 and 2000 are aqueous PCB cleaning machines which are ideal for removing flux residues and general contamination from PCB’s. They are compact and well priced. Please contact us for details.

BENCH MOUNTED PCB CLEANING MACHINE INSTALLED

Monday, July 20th, 2009

Intercole Sub Contract Services of Eastleigh, Hants have recently installed a Blundell System 1000 bench mounted printed circuit board cleaning machine. Intercole’s managing director, Mark Bowen chose the System 1000 because of its compact design and its ability to effectively clean flux residues from PCB’s after they have been soldered.

The machine will clean off rosin based or low residue fluxes, water soluble flux, solder paste and general contamination. It will hold up to 48 eurocard sized PCB’s. The cleaning results exceed MIL-STD-2000.
