FIRST VAPOUR PHASE ORDER RECEIVED

Wednesday, January 20th, 2010

I am very pleased to report than less than a month after we took over the UK distribution and support for IBL, that we have sold our first IBL Vapour Phase reflow system to Alchemy Technical Consulting Ltd.

Flintshire based Alchemy are a specialised electronics assembly company offering assembly services from prototypes and pre-production runs, up to high volume SMT assembly and box build.

The IBL machine they are purchasing is the SV260 tabletop machine which takes only 3kg of Galden fluid to fill and has fluid running costs of less than 1p per minute and assures that there is no risk of over-heating the PCB’s that are being soldered.

VAPOR PHASE SOLDERING HAS MANY ADVANTAGES

Friday, December 4th, 2009

Vapor phase reflow soldering of smt assemblies has many advantages. The control and repeatability are unbeatable. The solder joints are shiny and clean, they take up much less space than a convection reflow oven. It is impossible to burn your PCB’s or subject them to more heat than you intend to.

Vapor phase ovens about 60% less power than an average convection reflow oven. The machine itself doesn’t get hot. The fluid vapour is inert so you are always soldering in an inert atmosphere. Vapor phase has come a long way since the early days of SMT. If you have problems with reflowing boards in the conventional way, vapour phase is most likely to be the solution.

IBL VAPOR PHASE REFLOW HAS NEW DISTRIBUTOR

Tuesday, December 1st, 2009

I’m delighted to announce that we at Blundell Production Equipment have been appointed as the new UK distributor for IBL, the world leading manufacturer of Vapor Phase reflow soldering systems.

We have acquired this premier distribution line from A & D Automation, who have been representing IBL in the UK and Ireland for the past 10 years and who have sold over 20 systems in that time. We will also be taking over the service and support of the existing installations.

Vapor Phase solves many of the problems that can be associated with standard convection reflow, especially on high mass PCB’s. IBL have several patents associated with Vapor Phase technology, and their systems are acknowledged worldwide as being amongst the leaders in innovation and technical expertise.

We very much look forward to working with IBL to develop and expand the market for Vapor Phase systems in the UK.
